Honest CCc Review
I love a good CC moisturizer and especially one with SPF so I was intrigued when I spotted the Honest Clean Corrective with Vitamin C. Right off the bat, what I liked about it was that it’s a mineral sunscreen (titanium dioxide and zinc) so it won’t cause any irritation or stinging and I can apply it around my eyes. I like that it’s fragrance free and has vitamin c, which is an antioxidant and helps with brightening.
It’s formulated without parabens, which are ingredients I actually like but many people like to avoid. Parabens actually help with ingredients stability (which is important especially for vitamin C) and prevent contamination from pathogens.
My only complaint about this product would be the lack of shade range. It comes in four shades; fair, light, medium and deep. I’m a light to medium skin tone and I found the shade Light too dark and Fair too light so I’m currently mixing the two.
It’s a light to medium coverage with buildable coverage. When I tried applying with my fingers, I did find it pilled a bit but went on nicely with a beauty blender. It has a very dewy finish so I need a setting powder over it. If you’re skin is oily prone, this may not be the product for you. Overall it has a lightweight feel and a good lasting power. The pump packaging is very user friendly and can help maintain the integrity of the product. I’m impressed by this so far and would love to hear if y’all have any other favorites from this brand!
