Choosing a Cleanser
Always go with a mild cleanser with a PH close to your skin, which is around 5. Avoid scrubs as these can aggravate your skins natural barrier. Your finger tips or a wash cloth are plenty for physical exfoliating or try a chemical exfoliant.
If your more oily and acne prone I would suggest looking for ingredients like Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide. Using these ingredients in a wash off form can be less irritating. They also act as a chemical exfoliant which can help with dullnesss.
If you’re a makeup wearer, use an oil or cleansing balm to breakup your makeup before washing your face. They do a better job than most cleansers of breaking up makeup but also can add moisture to your face before stripping it with a cleanser.

A few other tips:
-Apply moisturizer within 60 seconds of washing your face.
-If your using any retinol or acid treatments at night, avoid using acids or peroxide’s in your nighttime cleanser, as this can increase your chance for irritation.
-Avoid cleansers with citrus oils or fragrance, these increase your chance for irritation.
